Over 70,000 Russian war crimes have been registered so far, Zelenskyy said in his opening speech at the conference, which was held in Lviv in western Ukraine.

“But unfortunately we don’t know about all the crimes at the moment,” he added.

— A large part of our territory is still occupied and we currently cannot reliably predict how many Russian crimes we would discover after the occupiers have been thrown out.

The conference was also attended by the UK’s Minister of Justice Victoria Prentis, the Spanish Chancellor of Justice Álvaro García Ortiz and the EU’s Justice Commissioner Didier Reynders.
