In his address to the nation on the 45th day of the Ukraine-Russia war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said more painful restrictions should be placed on Russia’s cash flows.
“We don’t have time to wait”
Stating that the entire civilized and democratic world should take action, Zelenskiy continued as follows:
“We have no time to wait. Freedom has no time to wait. Russia can afford to bring new forces and new equipment into our country. Immediate action must be taken and an oil embargo must be imposed against the tyrant.”
JOHNSON CAME TO UKRAINE WITH NEW FINANCIAL AND DEFENSE SUPPORT PACKAGE
Referring to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s visit to Kyiv, Zelenskiy stated that Johnson came to Ukraine with a new financial and defense support package.
Expressing that it is a great honor to host Johnson on behalf of the Ukrainians, Zelenskiy underlined that the leadership of the United Kingdom in the sanctions policy against Ukraine, especially in defense, is forever engraved in history.
Zelenskiy thanked European Union (EU) Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Stand Up for Ukraine campaign, which has pledged more than $10 billion in aid for people fleeing bombs inside and outside Ukraine. (AA)
