Another agenda item in Russia’s attacks on Ukraine is Ukraine’s grain export supply. President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelenskiy made important statements about the grains that cannot be exported in the country. Zelenskiy described the situation as a potential “catastrophic” for global food security, noting that almost half of Ukraine’s grain export supply is currently halted as Russia continues to close the country’s main export routes via the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
“22 MILLION TONS OF GRAIN IS HOLD IN WAREHOUSES”
In his statement, President Zelenskiy said, “Today, 22 million tons of grain are kept in warehouses. We cannot supply them to the international markets that are needed,” he said.
“THEY WILL UNDERSTAND THE GREATNESS OF THE DISASTER”
“Famine does not come alone, it is always accompanied by a political chaos that makes the situation worse, ruins people’s lives and creates unsafe conditions for people. “In July, many countries will realize the enormity of the disaster when they have exhausted last year’s harvest stocks,” he said.
