Zelda ToTK and Final Fantasy XVI dominate the market, here is the Top

To start the week off right, let’s take a quick look at the official SELL website to find the ranking of the best-selling video games, both on consoles and on PC. Obviously, these results concern the French market for weeks 25 and 26, which correspond respectively from June 19 to 25, then from June 26 to July 3. Two weeks which are obviously marked by the release of Final Fantasy XVI, which rises to the top of sales, without much surprise. For week 25, Square Enix’s game takes the lead in sales of course, but also allows itself to be in third position thanks to its Deluxe edition. Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is not very far away, which seems to be a long-seller like Breath of the Wild was in its time. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still in the running, as is F1 23 which manages to stay in this Top 5.

On PC, not too many changes compared to last week, since we find Microsoft Flight Simulator and Minecraft Java & Bedrock in the ranking, just Pro Cycling Manager 2023 which disappeared in favor of Star Wars Jedi Survivor.

For Week 26, Final Fantasy XVI loses some of its interest with less strong sales for its second week of operation, since Square Enix’s beat ’em all finds itself only in second position. The crown was indeed taken over by Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. We are also seeing some good comebacks with a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which is positioned in third place in this Top 5, followed by a God of War Ragnarök which is making a comeback, just like Diablo IV which is finally continuing to sell well this summer.

On PC, a lot of upheavals, with a takeover of the Sims 4, via two extensions, namely Hour of Glory and At the University. The fans are necessarily obliged to be content with what is offered to them, it takes a 5th episode which is really slow to arrive.
