Zeke, 3, broke the fundraising record with his “dinosaur bag” in this year’s edition of “Musikhjälpen”. Now he gets his own dinosaur playground from the municipality.

Three-year-old Zeke took all of Sweden by storm when, with his “dinosaur bag”, he pulled in 2.5 million for the fundraising program “Musikhjälpen” on Sveriges Radio and SVT. He grabbed first place among the collection bags, and thus went down in history with the largest private bag ever.
Zeke now receives a special Christmas present as a tribute to his effort – his own dinosaur playground from the municipality of Sundsvall. So it’s a dinosaur-themed playground.
– We are very proud of the commitment Zeke aroused, and how much money Zeke’s gun brought in. Now we therefore want to draw attention to Zeke’s effort by doing something that can create joy for many children in Sundsvall, says Jeanette Hedlund (S), chairperson of the City Planning Committee, in a press release.
The dinosaur playground is part of the city planning board’s plan for the development and renovation of play environments, the municipality writes on its website.
Also gets the “Sundsvallsdraken”
Zeke also receives a “symbolic gift” – the anniversary edition of the Sundsvallsdraken, which, according to Zeke himself, should be in his room.
– The music aid – in addition to raising a lot of money for the important work for safe pregnancies – also contributed to increased pride for Sundsvall. Zeke’s gun that collected so much money became a fine symbol of all that and he touched the hearts of all of Sweden, says Niklas Säwén (S), chairman of the municipal board in Sundsvall.
In total, the program collected just over SEK 60 million, which is the second highest amount in Musikhjälpen’s history.
Musikhjälpen started in 2008 and is made by P3 Sveriges Radio, SVT and the fundraising organization Radiohjälpen, which is tasked with distributing the money.
