Now Amanda Ilestedt and Zecira Musovic celebrate each other to the skies.
Sweden stormed into the football World Cup and made a big impression. Two of the biggest hit games to date are undoubtedly the shooter queen Amanda Ilestedt and the successful goalkeeper Zecira Musovic.
Musovic pays tribute
Backen Ilestedt has exceeded all expectations and has not only been skilled defensively but also scored a sensational four goals forward and is second in the WC shooting league. While Musovic has grown more and more between the posts and made his big international breakthrough with a super effort against the USA in the round of 16.

Off the field, the successful duo have been best friends for many years and have played together in both Rosengård and the Swedish national team during their careers. It now means a lot to both of us to make this journey side by side.
– It’s really fun. To be able to share moments like this with your best friend and to experience a championship, it’s absolutely fantastic. It’s very rare, I think, and it’s something that I’m very happy about, says Musovic to Sportbladet and pays tribute to Ilestedt.
– Oh God, a fantastic person. So really my best friend whom I think only the best of and whom I wish all the best in life.

Ilestedt pays homage
While Musovic has saved balls time and time again, she has had to follow her friend’s enormous impact in the other penalty area. There, Ilestedt has scored a goal and been named player of the match in three out of four games she has played.
– I know how much Amanda has worked for this. Somewhere, we are always there for each other both when things are going well and when things are not going well. So I’m extremely happy for her that she really gets the uproar she deserves, says Musovic in the interview.

– It’s really fun. I am incredibly happy for her. She has done so well over many years and I know the job and work she has done both on and off the field to get here today. So it’s great fun to see, says Ilestedt to the evening newspaper.

It remains to be seen if the best friends will also get to celebrate new WC medals this weekend, just as they did in 2019 when they both got WC bronze.
