A tense revenge story set on the continent of Arad and about the transformative power of love and loss between a father and son, it appears as an action-adventure platform game in the style of Metroidvania.

Tales of Kenzera: ZAU Story

In Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, we take on the role of Zau, who is trying to bring his father back to life. Traveling with Kalunga, the God of Death, through ethereal, multicolored and deep 2.5D worlds, young Nganga Zau reads a Bantu tale written by his dead father as he enters the stunning and dangerous regions of Kenzera and journeys into a world filled with the ghosts of lost ancestors.

Featured Game Mechanics and Artistic Approach

The game draws attention with its rhythmic battle mechanics such as being a warrior shaman and the Moon and Sun Mask Dance. We will use the power of the Moon Mask to crystallize enemies and the Sun Mask to throw fiery spears. Tales of Kenzera: ZAU has a mystical story inspired by Bantu myths. Accompanied by the enchanting music of composer Nainita Desai, we will continue our story in various environments such as the Kivulian Forests, Itshokan Dead Lands and Ikakaramban Highlands.

Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, which will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Switch platforms on April 23, offers a heartfelt journey that emphasizes that love is not lost and that coping with pain requires a special kind of strength.
