The Spanish brand, which already had a store at 92, avenue des Champs-Elysées, inaugurated a new address at number 74 of the most beautiful avenue in the world. Marble floors, walls and ceilings, green spaces, airy racks… Zara has appropriated the codes of luxury to make its men’s and women’s collections more attractive than ever. The brand has even developed caps dedicated to 74, avenue des Champs-Elysées, in order to offer its customers truly exclusive products. It is also the second address in France to allow its customers to try IRL the lingerie line of the sign. A highly desirable collection that delicately mixes transparent underwear, satin pajamas and activewear outfits.

A digital store to “improve fluidity”

The mission that Zara has given itself with this new address? Improve the experience of its customers at the store. The brand, which has developed a service called the Web store on its mobile application, has digitized the consumer journey as much as possible, with the aim of save him time during his shopping session. Before even being in the shop, the customer can reserve the items they want to try and locate in the shelves thanks to a 3D plan. Once there, they can also book one of the 31 cabins of the place without having to queue. A real plus for those who have little time to devote to window shopping. Thanks to the RFID technology, which works by emitting radio frequencies via tags on the locks, circulation in the store should be easier than ever. A screen, installed at the entrance to the fitting rooms, indicates, for example, when you pass by, the number of cabins that are empty.

At the automatic checkouts, whose screens lower to be accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities, the same story: RFID technology exempts customers from scanning their items one by one. These are automatically added to cart before being settled. In all, 74, avenue des Champs-Elysées has a thirty stations of payment. Two-thirds are machines controlled by a few hosts posted nearby, the other ten are traditional and each have their own designated locker. And if this extra digitization can intimidate those less comfortable with new technologies, Zara wants to be reassuring. The idea, according to the Spanish giant, is not no sacrifice of employees on the altar of progress.

If the brand does not specify the nature of the contracts (234 full-time salespersons does not equal 234 part-time salespersons, for example), it affirms that this technological deployment serves the teamss, more available to advise customers, because less monopolized by tasks at checkouts and in the cabin. Tasks that customers now do it themselves to be able to consume at Zara without wasting too much time.
