In Ukraine, Russian bombings have increased in recent days against civilian residential areas in the country’s large cities. The country’s second city, Kharkiv, is particularly targeted, but this Friday April 5, it was Zaporizhia which was hit by a missile strike, which left three people dead. The modus operandi put in place by the Russian army during this bombing once again shows Moscow’s deliberate desire to affect the populations.

Friday April 5 in the afternoon, five Russian ballistic missiles fell on Zaporizhia (south ofUkraine) in the space of two hours, leaving three civilians dead and at least thirteen injured. In all likelihood, the Russian military wanted to target the MotorSich factory, a manufacturer of aircraft engines, a factory whose Russians might suspect that it houses military manufacturing or repair activities.
Small businesses
However, during these strikes, surrounding civilian buildings were affected, as well as small neighborhood businesses. But above all, after a first missile in a residential area, a second missile struck in the same place, hitting the rescuers, as well as numerous journalists who had come to the scene of the bombing.
War crime
This device is called “double strike”, it aims to hit people who are at the location of the first impact, causing victims among them. Double strikes are considered a war crime and have been massively used by the Russian air force in Syria to come to the aid of Bashar al Assad’s regime. The same methods that were used during the siege of Aleppo are being implemented in Ukrainian cities.
