Zack Snyder’s sci-fi hit Rebel Moon – Part 2: The Scar Maker started on Netflix just a few days ago. The director is already in the starting blocks with his next project for the streaming service – and it has been in the works since 2019. Now he finally shared the first image from the new animated series Twilight of the Godsin which the Nordic mythology of gods such as Thor, Odin and Loki is reinterpreted.

As Zack Snyder revealed in an interview with Collider, the series revolves around a royal couple who want to get married in a small Viking village. However, their wedding is beset by a terrible event. So she thinks Bride Sigrid (Sylvia Hoeks) out for revenge and gathers a team of different creatures – such as a seer and a dwarf – to challenge one of the gods together. Snyder explained that things are messy in Twilight of the Gods: “There’s a lot of sex, […] because it’s fun.”
