In addition to Dwayne Johnson, many stars experience physical comparison pressure. So did Zac Efron when he was cast opposite The Rock in the 2017 Baywatch film. The former High School Musical actor brought himself in for the comedy the shape of his life and shocked with his well-toned body, which didn’t seem to have an ounce of fat left.
But for this look, Efron had to have one pay a high price, as he now reveals himself. His Baywatch body plunged him into serious mental illness.

Zac Efron suffered from depression and insomnia after Baywatch workouts
In a recent Men’s Health interview, the star opened up about how she keeps her impressive Baywatch physique by extreme means trained:
That Baywatch look, I don’t know if that’s really achievable. There is simply not enough water in the skin. It looks like a fake or CGI. And that required Lasix, a heavy draining drugt to achieve that. I do not need that. I prefer a lot more, you know, 2 to 3 percent body fat.
Through this unhealthy method, Zac Efron suffered severe consequential damage:
I started developing insomnia and I fell into a pretty bad depression for a long time. Something about that experience burned me out. I was having a really hard time not re-centering. Ultimately, they put it down to me taken far too many pills for far too long have, and it messed something up.
