Wait, Jason Statham in a romance drama? Isn’t that the guy known for tough movies like Crank? Statham belongs in action-packed hits like The Transporter, The Expendables and The Meg when he’s not being pushed around between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson in the Fast & Furious franchise.

However, a look at Statham’s filmography reveals quite different films, for example 2005’s London – Love of Life?, in which he can be seen together with Marvel star Chris Evans and Jessica Biel (Total Recall, The A-Team). Despite the big names, the film has since fallen into oblivion.

The film’s story revolves around Syd (Chris Evans) who is stuck in his life. When he learns that his ex-girlfriend London (Jessica Biel) is leaving town, he does everything to make it happen win her heart back. First, however, he calls his dealer Bateman (Jason Statham) for drugs and mental support.

The two rise together London’s farewell party and drown their sorrows in alcohol. Syd has no idea how to approach London before leaving New York for Los Angeles. Gradually, he doubts not only the choices he has made in his life, but also about love.

London – love of life? was not a great success. Only $20,000 was able to play the film. One reason for this may have been the many negative reviews. On the rating aggregator Metacritic, the love drama only gets 24 out of 100 points, on Rotten Tomatoes it’s just 14 percent.
