The basic premise sounds familiar at first: The Joker causes fear and terror in Gotham and his partner Harley Quinn ends up in prison, where she is visited some time later by Amanda Waller. For ARGUS, she is supposed to join a team of villains that has to complete a particularly daring mission. In contrast to the live-action version Suicide Squad, however, this story takes a bizarre turn.
The mission leads Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Clayface, Peacemaker and King Shark through a mysterious portal into a fantasy world full of magic, orcs and dragons. The battle-hardened strangers come at just the right time for Queen Aldora, as her kingdom is at war. It won’t be long before more DC characters appear, as Harley Quinn and Co. are not the first Suicide Squad to be sent here.
