With a Disney+ subscription you can stream the sci-fi blockbuster in the usual theatrical version. Somewhat hidden in the extras section on the streaming provider’s film page you will also find an alternative version of the film, which we have Inside the Lens: The Raw Cut is called. This version also runs 145 minutes and presents the Planet of the Apes part as a split screen.
While the usual version is running above, below is the Variant without subsequent effects to see. Here, among other things, it is easier to see how the human stars such as Owen Teague and Kevin Durand embody their animal characters Noa and Proximus Caesar.

When and how does the Planet of the Apes franchise continue?
After Planet of the Apes: New Kingdom became another part of the sci-fi series not yet officially announced. At least one new Disney report came out a few weeks ago in which the blockbuster was seen as a successful revival of the brand. Nothing should stand in the way of a new trilogy by Wes Ball.
It will probably be a long time before another Planet of the Apes sequel appears. Ball will next direct the live-action adaptation of Legend of Zelda. This project should be in cinemas by 2030 at the latest.
