There is a secret feature in Minecraft that hardly anyone knows about. But there is a lot of work behind it – and a logical structure of the game world.
There is a lot to discover in Minecraft – a lot. Even veterans who have been playing from the beginning may not know every trick in the huge sandbox game, so you will always come across something new.
Now Pirate Software has shown a small feature that most people have probably never seen before. Because some mobs have a very special view of things.
The story behind the original Minecraft inventor is also curious:
What was shown? Jason Thor Hall, who many may know as “Pirate Software” on YouTube, is a former Blizzard developer who regularly provides insights into game development and also digs up curious stories or features.
Recently he showed a feature in Minecraft that many have probably never seen before.
In Minecraft there is the “spectator mode”. There you can look at a world as a passive spectator, have a clear view of everything, but nothing and no one can interact with you. This is particularly interesting on PvP servers or for admins to comment on matches or look out for bad guys.
A “hidden” feature in this mode, however, is that you can slip into the body of passive mobs with one click and then experience the world from that mob’s perspective. Your camera always moves with the movements of the corresponding creature.
Pirate Games shows that the developers have put in unexpectedly much effort, because:
The Creeper also has a special perspective, as he sees the whole world a little more pixelated and noticeably greener.
Why do these features exist? That’s a good question that Jason Thor Hall is also asking himself. Because at first glance, there is no reason at all to include such a feature in the game. The spectator mode is already relatively special – and it is unlikely that someone would actually want to watch the game from the perspective of a spider or an Enderman.
So it’s probably just a gimmick that was built in by a developer. After all, it’s “logical” that some creatures have a different view of the world of Minecraft.
Did you already know about these small, hidden features? Or is this the first time you’ve heard that the world can look completely different from the perspective of a Minecraft mob? We’ve reported on Pirate Software several times because he makes great videos that often go viral.
