YouTuber Ludwig Ahgren has gone to crazy lengths to appear a little smarter than he is on Twitch. His goal was to defeat the smart Twitch streamer Northernlion in a quiz competition. He was happy to use any means to achieve this.
What was his goal?
Other cheaters are not as popular:
YouTuber secretly develops his own game and makes it popular on Twitch
Ludwig made this effort: Ludwig had one of his employees program his own online quiz: “Dop*ple”. In the game, players saw a digital medium and had to guess what year and month the medium was released.
He then arranged for some Twitch streamers that he knew Northernlion was watching to play this game on their streams. Ludwig himself also played it, but not with himself in the YouTube live stream, but with his good friend Fuslie.
And indeed: Northernlion bit and played Double, without suspecting that Ludwig was behind it.
Finally, Ludwig challenged the opponent Northernlion to an all-out quiz duel, suggesting his own game “Dop*ple” as one of the games in which they would duel.
How did the plan go? Well, this excessive effort to develop his own game over which he had full control only paid off to a limited extent for Ludwig. Ultimately, Ludwig didn’t want to cheat that badly, he just made sure that he got a slight advantage in “Dop*ple” because the theme of the game that day, France, was particularly close to him.
Ludwig’s mother is French and constantly texts him about France and so he thought he had extensive knowledge here that Northernlion lacked.
Ludwig was actually able to win the Dop*ple game against Northernlion by a narrow margin. But that was only one game out of 14 in which they competed. And in the end the quiz expert won 8-6.
Ludwig’s conclusion: Instead of spending so much time cheating, he should have learned about the countries of Central America. Then he would have won.
How is this commented? People thought it was great that a YouTuber as big as Ludwig was putting the rather small streamer Northernlion in the spotlight.
Somehow we’ve already gotten used to Ludwig and his “genius-evil master plans”. One user says: “Ludwig actually created a trivia game to look smarter than he is on stream. The man is really crazy.”
