YouTube’s plan for the Shorts platform, which provides services in the vertical video space, has emerged. Judging by the news, YouTube is about to play its biggest trump card to attract users from TikTok to its platform Shorts.
TURN ON AGGRESSIVE MONEY MAKING FEATURE
According to The Verge’s report, YouTube is preparing to turn on aggressive monetization for Shorts. Shorts will be part of the YouTube Partner Program starting early next year. This means eligible creators will be able to start earning revenue from ad revenue on Shorts. YouTube will also make it easier for ineligible creators to monetize in some ways.
YouTube’s goal is to offer more and better monetization options than TikTok, potentially bringing most of the creators on the competing platform to Shorts.
