YouTube Croesus Mr. Beast wins big event in Vegas – 3 Twitch streamers gamble away so much money there

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

In July 2022, a special League of Legends event was held in Las Vegas. 10 content creators played LoL against each other there. The spectacle was hosted by rich YouTuber Mr. Beast. But when trying to keep up with the YouTube star, 3 Twitch streamers on LoL had to give up feathers, as Mizkif explains in January 2023.

What was that event? The event took place in Las Vegas in the summer of 2022. Some of the biggest gaming influencers played 3 rounds of LoL against each other. Mr. Beast, a huge content creator on YouTube, had challenged the over-ambitious Twitch streamer Ninja to a $150,000 competition: the two then formed teams and the proceeds went to a good cause.

  • Team Ninja included: Ninja himself, Tyler1, Doublelift, Ludwig and Sapnap
  • Mr.Beast’s team featured: Mr.Beast, Yassuo, Voyboy, Mizkif and Emiru

How did the tournament go? The Ninja team was actually the favourite: after all, they had two outstandingly strong players in their ranks in Tyler1 and Doublelift. But chatterbox Ludwig played so terribly that he was singled out as the sole culprit for the defeats.

Mr. Beast’s team had two strong players in Yassuo and Voyboy – Emiru and Mizkif also played much better than some had given them credit for.

The Mr.Beast team won the first 2 matches and the tournament – there was then a 3rd match, which the Ninja team won.

At the time, Tyler1 accused the horrified Ludwig of having lost the game “practically alone”.

First Mizkif was up $10,000, then Mr. Beast showed up

This is what came out now: That was all half a year ago. Now, as part of a throwback to 2022, Twitch streamer Mizkif shared what happened behind the scenes of the event at the Vegas gaming tables. Apparently he, Mr. Beast and the two LoL streamers Yassuo and Voyboy promote gambling.

Mizkif says he and Voyboy were gambling there in Vegas and suddenly Mizkif was up about $10,000:

That was honestly one of the most beautiful moments of my whole life. I understand why people like to gamble: I was like, “Shit, that feels good!”

But then Mr. Beast came up to him and invited him to his table and told him to bet the $10,000. “You’ll probably double that!” he told him

Mizkif was initially skeptical that one could wait until at least the stream was running, but Mr. Beast said: “No, put that!”

The 3 Twitch streamers with the biggest egos are playing LoL for 150,000 – This is how the spectacle Ninja vs. MrBeast went

How did that turn out? From that point on, says Mizkif, they only lost:

  • He lost every penny himself. Pulled $2,000 from the ATM, but that money was quickly gone
  • Voyboy maxed out 2 credit cards and lost that money too
  • They then ran around and asked people for money, but the money also slipped through their fingers
  • In the end, they drove “home in despair”.
  • The LoL streamer Yassuo had it even worse than him and Voyboy:

“Yeah, that was quite a journey into desperation, that was pretty devastating. But do you know who lost the most: Yassuo. Yassuo lost like $50,000 or $60,000.”

Blame Mr. Beast for everything: You can’t say no to him

When asked why he let himself be fooled into gambling, Mizkif replied:

You can’t really say no to Mr. Beast. So I bet the money and lost every penny.”

I guess the lesson from the number is: Don’t try to keep up with people who are so much richer than you.
