American Wojcicki, who has been CEO of YouTube since 2014, says she has agreed with parent company Alphabet’s CEO Sundar Pichai to take on an advisory role at Google and Alphabet.

“Today, after almost 25 years with the company, I have decided to step back from my role as head of YouTube and start a new chapter focusing on my family, health and personal projects that I am passionate about,” Wojcicki said in a statement.
