A 15-year-old youth faces weapons charges after an incident in Chatham on Saturday morning.
Just before 9 am, Chatham-Kent police responded to an address for a weapons complaint.
A pedestrian allegedly observed a suspect outside of the address with a suspected firearm. The suspect proceeded inside and waited a second-storey window, police said, and was observed to still be in possession of the firearm.
Officers responded and one person was arrested. The youth was charged with breaching a weapons prohibition order and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Police said there was not an immediate threat to public safety and the situation was resolved without incident. There are also no public safety concerns following the resolution, police added.
