(Finance) – This morning, the Chamber of Deputies began the discussion on bill on youth entrepreneurship in agriculture, presented by president of the Agriculture Commission, Mirco Carloni, of the League. “The bill I presented – he declared Carloni – draws attention to the issue of turnover and generational transition in agriculture, which unfortunately today has a small percentage of young agricultural entrepreneurs: only 13.4% of agricultural business owners are under 44 years of age” .
“If Italy wants to boast of the food and wine excellences of our Made in Italy,” he said Carloni – must create the conditions to allow young people to believe that sustainable and innovative agricultural businesses can be created in our country, while at the same time protecting the fertility of the soil, generating income and creating good and healthy jobs. To guarantee a certain future for our agriculture – concludes Carloni – it must be entrusted to the young people who represent that future”.
