A new transmog helmet in World of Warcraft has just been unlocked on Amazon Prime. We’ll show you how to get it.
Blizzard has had a partnership with Amazon for a while, and that means there’s regular gaming content on Amazon Prime Gaming. There is also regularly something for fans of World of Warcraft, especially collectors of transmog items get their money’s worth and can get some designs that are otherwise no longer available in the game. The last item in this series is now available, the Crown of Eternal Winter.
What are these transmog items? These are certain helmets that are only used for transmogrification – i.e. purely cosmetic items without reinforcing values. A few years ago you could buy these helmets in the World of Warcraft in-game shop, but they were discontinued quite a while ago. Now they’re (currently, at least) exclusively available through Amazon Prime. These are:
How to redeem the crown? The redemption is comparatively simple. All you have to do is visit the Prime Gaming website and make sure you have linked your Amazon account to your Blizzard account. Once you’ve done that, click on “Game Content” and scroll down to the “World of Warcraft” entry. There you should see the current helmet and with it the “Crown of Eternal Winter”. Click on the item to finally redeem it. You have until September 20th to do this, then the offer will disappear.
Are the other helmets coming back again? That’s not entirely clear. Before the three helmets came to Prime Gaming, they were no longer available for many years. So it would be quite possible that the three items will disappear again in the years to come. All the greater the incentive to redeem the Crown of Winter now, so that you don’t get annoyed at having missed it in the years to come.
Have you secured the crown yet? Or can you do with these sparkling helmets rather less?
If you like customization, you should also take a look at the Dracthyr – they have more customizations than there are grains of sand in the universe.
