The new Palworld update should finally fix bugs that have been annoying players for a long time, but a new feature has been causing enormous heat in your base since the update.
What has the update changed? The new Palworld update v0.1.5.0 made changes to the game’s heating and cooling system. Since the update, the heat sources have been stacking together, increasing the heat in one place. Specifically, this means that four campfires can make a small room as hot as a volcano.
Other heat sources such as fire pals and furnaces also increase the temperature of the location. This can mean that it can suddenly become quite hot in your home.

What do you have to pay attention to now? With the update you can suddenly have a base that is as hot as a blazing volcano. Just two working Fire Pals are enough when they are preparing food or melting metal. If you place an iron fire bowl next to it to increase efficiency, you can immediately provide fireproof laundry.
If you don’t pay attention to the temperature, you can even die from the damage you receive from your base. On Reddit, user “skewtr” shared an image from his base where the in-game thermometer is at its highest, as hot as the middle of a volcano. He advises other players to wear appropriate clothing in the forge area from now on.
Other players point out under the post that level 2 fireproof underwear is enough to avoid death. Players could buy or collect these and then wouldn’t have to change anything.
Alternatively, you can rebuild your base so that there are never so many Firepals in one place to cause you problems.
What do players think of the new mechanics? The comments are collected under skewtr’s post. The players don’t find the new system optimal. Eggs_in_Trying_Times writes on Reddit: “This is fucking stupid. I understand stackable heat on craft sources. However, the Pals shouldn’t give off heat just because they exist. Never!”
UAHeroyamSlava writes: “I died 5 times in my volcano base trying to get out hahahahahaha summoning my only firebird mount didn’t help at all lmao” (via Reddit).
Some think it’s just realistic. For example, Puzzleheaded-Gur-747 writes on Reddit: “While the heat scale is greatly exaggerated, it makes logical sense to wear heat-resistant clothing when you find yourself in a forge with a fire creature itself.”
