In Baldur’s Gate 3, romantic relationships are a big theme. In the full version there is now the possibility to decide for yourself whether your fellow players are allowed to become peepers.
Lots of Romance: Baldur’s Gate 3 offers a lively world full of adventure and plenty of sex scenes. Some of these are rather harmless, others are more whimsical and violent – like the infamous sex scene with the druid bear. Decide for yourself whether you want to see the full range of nudity or whether you prefer to hide the genitals.
What you do with these genitals is also up to you. The game gives you tons of romance options. By default, however, your dirty gimmicks are protected from prying eyes.
This is how your fellow players can experience intimate scenes: The setting for Private Moments Sharing is off by default. In the settings, under user options, you can activate this option and share your romances with other players. In the same place you will also find the setting: Depiction of nudity and cinematic nudity. Finally, the sex organs can be adjusted freely.
Share spontaneously: If you’d rather spontaneously reveal your dirty secrets, then tick the box that appears in the bottom left corner of the screen – and the tick for private moments will disappear. However, you then have to confirm the option again for each scene. Each scene can be made private in co-op mode.
Share or hide private moments for true role-playing experience
The Share Private Moments option in Baldur’s Gate 3 allows for a personalized player experience and diversifies co-op adventures with friends. The ability to hide experiences from your own character from other members makes the game a real role-playing experience.
Plus, it’s also great that there’s an opportunity to share intimate scenes. This way you can experience them together and nobody will miss scenes in this playthrough – although everyone will probably start several runs. I would definitely like that.
No romantic scenes between co-op players: Unfortunately, it is not possible to romance other players. Not even if one or both Origin characters are playing. In some cases, you can even enter into polyamorous relationships. Larian Studio recently wrote on Steam (via.steam.com) :
Our relationship system is designed only for NPCs to fall in love with. However, if you and your co-op partner both kiss your monitors at the same time, the static shock you experience creates a heartbreaking effect similar to the feeling of love.
