An opposition activist released from Russia in a prisoner exchange on Thursday Ilya Yashin said he wanted to return to Russia. Jašin, who was released in a prisoner exchange, told reporters in Germany about the conversation.

An officer of Russia’s FSB security service had told Yashin that “his days will end like to Alexei Navalny”if he returns to the country.

Navalnyi died in mid-February under unclear circumstances in a prison camp in Siberia.

Jašin said he plans to continue in politics.
