In Monster Hunter Wilds, cat -like beings accompany you, the Palicos. But behind these sweet companions who heal you and chat with you are actually adult men.
What are Palicos? The Palicos are your constant hunting companions. They accompany you to quests, distract huge monsters and ensure that you do not bless the time in the fight so quickly. In the tent they snuggle up to you, silly and have their own quests in which they want to try new things.
If the palicos appear humanly through their gestures and their behavior, this is due to a very specific reason. Because behind the cat -like companions there are actors who give the animals their movements. On top of that, they are now also talking about your language – but you can change that with a setting.

Who is behind the Palicos? There are actually real people behind the Palicos and their movements. This not only shows the hunters by Motion capture actors in Monster Hunter Wilds, but also your cat-like companions and even a few of the monsters.
A YouTube video from PlayStation Access shows from minute 00:42 how an adult man slips into the role of a Palico: he bounces around, cleans himself, wiggles his arms and chases a vitality wasp:

How does that get the community? Under the YouTube video, several users particularly praise the work of the Palico actor. One user writes: “The Palico, who jumps onto the vitality wasp to catch them, just makes me happy.” And Waikikil5205 finds the Palico “Wholesome.” The user Ocksahlnestreves6139 believes that the “Palico type” works as if he had to resist the laugh.
In a post on Reddit, Dragonlovin writes: “It looks so fun.
