Experiencing unexplained bruising can indicate a deficiency of three dangerous vitamins. Unexplained and easy bruising can be a sign of vitamin deficiency. The most common vitamin deficiency that can cause you to bruise easily is iron deficiency.

Some vitamins help strengthen blood vessels so they are less prone to cracking. Some vitamins also contribute to healthy blood clotting, which helps your blood vessels leak less.

PAY ATTENTION TO VITAMIN C LEVELS

Vitamin C, which is found in citrus fruits, potatoes, tomatoes and other fruits and vegetables, is one of these vitamins. The vitamin is known to aid in the formation of collagen, a protein that gives your skin its structure. When your vitamin C levels are low, they are more likely to rupture blood vessels and cause bruising.

Vitamin K deficiency is another problem that can cause unexplained bleeding when its levels are low. It’s linked to healthy blood clotting and helps strengthen the walls of your capillaries, the smallest blood vessels in your body. But when vitamin K levels are low, your capillaries are more likely to break randomly.

Common is iron deficiency. Iron is a vital chemical for producing healthy red blood cells. When levels are low, your body may not be able to produce enough of these blood cells, known as anemia. Like vitamin K deficiency, iron deficiency anemia can reduce clotting.
