The woman cycled that Saturday evening along the Cotherweg in the direction of the Dorpsstraat. When she cycled over the Kromme Rijn just before the bridge, a scooter drove towards her on her side of the road. She tried to dodge the scooter, but it drove at her full speed and rammed into her bike. The woman received a blow to her stomach as a result.
