“I would never normally fall for this, but I had just had a heart attack and was still recovering,” says one of the victims. “It was so sophisticated. First I got a call from a friendly lady who said she worked at my bank and had discovered a suspicious transaction to Germany. That shocked me, because I hadn’t transferred anything. Fortunately, the bank was able to help me and there was someone immediately came by. That was the woman who is now before the judge. She asked me to log in to internet banking, increased my withdrawal limit and looked at my pin code. When I went to get her a glass of water, she gave me my bank card stolen and she quickly left. I ran after her and filmed her.”
