During the night, the police were alerted to an address in Rosengård in Malmö due to an explosion.
The explosion took place next to an apartment building at 03:30.
No one was injured, but the property was damaged.
A moment later, a taxi is stopped with a suspicious youth in it. The police state that a 14-year-old boy has been taken in for questioning. He is suspected of public destruction and crime against flammable and explosive goods.
According to information to South Sweden paper bags were placed around the boy’s arms to secure evidence.
The National Bomb Squad has carried out an investigation which was completed at 05.00.

The Christian Democrats want to scrap the grade F, because it excludes many students from high school.
“In practice, the F grade has come to function as a rock-hard limit, which determines who is allowed to take the step to further studies and who is excluded”, write Mathias Bengtsson, education policy spokesperson and Jakob Forssmed, deputy party chairman, in a debate article in Dagens News.
KD will be the second government party after the Liberals to swing on the issue.

A man was shot in the foot in connection with a dinner between three friends derailing in Järlåsa outside Uppsala on Sunday evening, according to the police.
Three men, one in their 50s and two in their 30s, were having dinner when they suddenly disagreed over a caper in the food.
– The older man absolutely wanted the caper and threatened to shoot whoever ate it, says Anders Holm, commander at police region Mitt.
One of the younger ones still chose to eat the caper, whereupon the older man retrieved his hunting weapon.
– He simply shot him with his rifle, but in the foot so it is not life-threatening, says Anders Holm.
An ambulance was sent to the scene.
– We arrested the perpetrator and he is now suspected of aggravated assault and aggravated weapons offences, says Anders Holm.

Trump wants to control Greenland
US President-elect Donald Trump is hinting that the US wants to control and possibly own Greenland.
“For national security and freedom throughout the world, the United States considers ownership and control of Greenland an absolute necessity,” writes Trump on his platform Truth Social.
The statement is made in connection with Trump appointing 49-year-old entrepreneur Ken Howery as the future US ambassador to Denmark. Greenland is a largely self-governing part of Denmark.

Journalists arrested in Turkey after demonstration
Nine people, including seven journalists, are under arrest in Turkey for taking part in a banned demonstration on Saturday, media and human rights groups say.
The demonstration was to show support for two Kurdish journalists who were killed in a Turkish drone strike in northern Syria.
According to reports, 59 people were detained for participating in the demonstration, and 50 of them have since been released, according to the Turkish human rights organization MLSA, which works on freedom of press and expression.
MLSA states on X that the seven journalists have been arrested for “terrorist propaganda”.

Trump: Putin has said he wants to meet
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he wants to meet US President-elect Donald Trump “as soon as possible” – according to Trump.
– So, we have to wait for that. But we must end the war. The war is terrible, terrible, Trump said during a speech at an event for Republican and conservative voters in Phoenix, Arizona, reports CNBC.
Trump, who returns to the White House in January, said during the election campaign that he could end the war in Ukraine “within 24 hours.”
The president-elect has also recently said that it is possible that Ukraine will receive less support from the United States when he takes office as president. He has also criticized the current government for giving the green light for Ukraine to attack inside Russia with American Atacms robots.

Man badly beaten near shopping centre
On Sunday evening, a man in his 40s was found beaten outside near the Mobilia shopping center in Malmö.
The man had to be taken by ambulance to hospital and the condition of his injuries is unclear.
The police quickly launched a search operation and were able to arrest a suspected perpetrator in a nearby residence.
The man, who is in his 50s, is suspected of aggravated assault.
– It is not clear whether the crime scene is the residence in which the man was arrested or outside, says police spokesperson Filip Annas South Sweden.

US Navy: Two of our pilots were shot down
Two pilots from the US Navy were shot down in the Red Sea on Sunday, according to the US military, writes the AP news agency.
The incident was “friendly fire”, i.e. that one accidentally fired on one’s own forces.
The US has been present in Yemen to target Yemen’s Houthi rebels, and the AP writes that this is the most serious incident in over a year.
Both pilots survived, and one of them has minor injuries.

Putin meets Slovakia’s Fico in Moscow
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico is in Moscow where he met Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday, according to Russian media. Television images show the two leaders meeting in the Kremlin.
Fico is one of the few European leaders who still has a friendly attitude towards Putin, after the war of aggression in Ukraine.
The Slovak government is often described as pro-Russian and populist, and the country’s president Peter Pellegrini has stated in December that Ukraine must count on losing parts of its territory in order for peace to be achieved.

The accident happened shortly before 4 p.m.
– It has overturned due to the slip, says Sanna Lagerqvist, officer on duty at the police.
Later in the evening, the police stated that those involved did not receive any serious injuries.
