In 2020, 800,000 Britons chose to take part in news via Tiktok, two years later the same figure was 3.9 million. Of these, half are between 16 and 24 years old. Despite the platform’s popularity, only 30 percent of teens surveyed saw Tiktok as a credible source of news.
In the older age groups, newspapers, radio and television still dominate.
