That is more dramatic than it sounds, because with a team of promises in the first division, not so much the result as the training of players for the first team is central. “If that frustrates me, I’ll quit this job,” says coach Darije Kalezic, who acknowledges that as a coach of a team of promises you have to have a different mindset. “As a coach of Jong FC Utrecht you have to think from the bigger picture. Your focus has to be to make players better and everything has to make way for that.”
