– We want to be the bridge to the business world and this will be a way for the students to come into contact with the business world for real. Here they get to show their company and meet the local customer group, says Josefin Holmgren, regional director of Young Entrepreneurship in Sörmland, which has trained high school students in UF entrepreneurship since the 1980s.
What do you think the UF fair means to young people?
– This day is a big part of the whole UF experience and they have charged so much for this. It is a form of “grand finale” where you get to show what you have worked on. There are usually many happy UF entrepreneurs at the end of the day.
In connection with the fair, the UF championships were also held, where the students who wanted to participate could compete for places in the SM in “Young Enterprise” which is organized in Stockholm every year in May. There, students have a chance to win prizes for, among other things, company of the year, innovation or salesperson of the year.
