Young Convicted – Mattias manufactured, sold and abused steroids

Young Convicted Mattias manufactured sold and abused steroids

Mattia’s biggest goal in life was to get the perfect body.

He was tired of being the skinny lanarkill, says mother Susanne in the new episode of the podcast “Doomed Young”.

But what began with increased training soon became a downward spiral where he began making anabolic steroids – both to sell to others and to use himself.

The price he would have to pay became high.

Already as a fifteen-year-old, Mattias is obsessed with bodybuilding and soon his whole life will revolve around building his muscles.

His fate was to become a muscle builder, his mother Susanne continues in “Dömd Ung”.

Mattias trains a lot and aims to participate in bodybuilding competitions. But to reach his goal, he starts using anabolic steroids that he both injects and takes orally. He goes from weighing 65 to 115 kilos. Mother Susanne is worried that he will destroy his body but Mattias does not listen.

“Deep depressions”

To be able to afford anabolic steroids, Mattias will soon start manufacturing himself – both for his own use and to resell. But the use of steroids has many downsides, including psychological side effects such as aggression and deep depression that occur when the testosterone balance is disturbed.

It can go so far as to consider committing suicide and even doing so. It has happened several times, says Gunnar Hermansson in the podcast, former police officer and specialist in doping offenses.

Mattias has been convicted several times for doping offenses but still continues to manufacture drugs – including drugs that are injected into the muscles where there is a risk of rotting. And the use of anabolic steroids will eventually lead to a tragedy – despite his attempts to get out of addiction and live normally, he eventually took his own life.

– What could I have done more? That’s how I always felt after this. What could I have done more for him, says Susanne in “Dömd Ung”
