A few days after the departure of Amir Abdou, the Comoros hold their new coach. The Comoros Football Federation announced in a press release that it had chosen Younès Zerdouk, 48, as its new coach.
The French technician of Moroccan origin is none other than the deputy, since 2017, of Amir Abdou, now at the head of Mauritania. Zerduk had directed the round of 16 of the Comoros against Cameroon during the last CAN, when Abdou had been declared positive for Covid-19.
