You’ll soon be able to slaughter cyclops in New World for special event gear

In the MMORPG New World, a new event will start soon, where you have to fight cyclops. Legendary weapons beckon as a reward.

The event “Crassus’ Legacy” starts in New World on February 21st and runs until March 7th, 2023. During this period you can defeat the world bosses Lucanos and Decimus – Cyclopes sent by General Crassus.

After Crassus fell, his subjects are out for revenge and want to continue his mission. Therefore they attack the southern areas – With the two Cyclopes as leaders.

You can face the bosses several times a day. Those who cause more than 1,000 damage to the level 66 monsters will receive the reward.

Daily rewards and regular drops from the two bosses

The loot is divided into daily and regular items. Some of these are event-specific, while other drops are classic weapons, gear, and consumables.

You can get one of these weapons once per day:

  • Decimus’ Wrath – Battleaxe
  • Hoplite Greatsword – Greatsword
  • Decimus’ Cuirass – Heavy chest armor
  • Decimus’ Fists – Heavy gauntlets
  • Lucanus’ Sagittar Bow
  • Vesuvius – Rod of Fire
  • Lucanus’ Leather Hood – Medium helm
  • Lucanus’ Spiked Shoes – Medium boots

    • After 8 days you collected all of them. So you’ll need to log in and defeat the cyclops most days of the event if you don’t want to miss out on any of the items.

    Each time you will also get 1-3 Obsidian Gypsum, 500 Shadow Shards and with a 25% chance you will get a crafting mod, which will add bonuses to the crafted items.

    Daily rewards always reset at 5:00 am local time.

    For standard rewards, you can kill Lucanus and Decimus multiple times per day and get the following:

  • 90%: A random boss-level weapon or piece of gear, i.e. 66.
  • At 10%: A named item from the Sulfur Sands or Greater Aeternum
  • Consumables for health, mana, etc.
