A year ago, the third season of The Boys started on Amazon Prime. Since then, fans of the cheeky superhero series have been wondering when and how the story will continue. The good news is that filming for the new episodes has long since ended. The Boys Season 4 is in the can, however not yet ready for publication.

Since The Boys is a very complex series, it was foreseeable that we would have to be prepared for a longer wait. But as it turns out, there is additional obstacle: the writers’ strike in Hollywood. The Boys is also affected and is therefore returning later to Amazon.

Showrunner Eric Kripke gave an update on The Boys situation on Twitter. When Season 4 starts on Amazon Prime depends on how long the strike lasts. No agreement has yet been found between the creatives and the studios.
