“You shouldn’t underestimate girls”

The finale of “The Traitors” is over and the winner is clear. Katia Mosally, who has been a traitor throughout the course of the season, copes with her task with flying colors – she manages to deceive all the other participants all the way to the finish line. Next to her in the final are Olivia Karlsson and Claudia Galli Concha.

Claudia, whom Katia recruited as a traitor a few days earlier, believes that they will both emerge as winners. Because that’s what was said – before Katia casts her vote for Claudia and Claudia leaves. Remaining in the final are Katia and Olivia, Olivia who is convinced that she and Katia will win the jackpot together as a faithful couple.

It becomes extremely emotional when Katia is then forced to tell Olivia that she is a traitor. Even though Katia takes home the win, her first feeling was anything but positive.

– Considering that me and Olivia were so close to each other, it felt like a huge pain that I let her down, says Katia.

That’s why Katia kicks Claudia out in the final

As a viewer, it’s easy to believe that Katia has her game plan worked out, that everything goes completely according to plan – all the time. But it didn’t, she says now. Her plan was to recruit Olivia as a traitor, not Claudia. But then something happened that made her change her mind.

– We had said that we wanted to stand as winners together, that was the plan. Then she told me that “everyone will be able to see through me as a traitor, you would see through me”. Should I subject her to this if she doesn’t take the pressure? says Katia.

– When I recruited Claudia instead, we told each other that the two of us would stand as winners together, but I only agreed to that if we gave part of the money to Olivia, she continues.

But how is it then that Katia chooses to drive Claudia out and stand alone as the winner?

– At the last second, I felt that I could not justify winning with Claudia. I thought if I stand there myself I can give more money to Olivia, that’s what made me burn Claudia. To show Olivia loyalty, Katia explains.

It is a disappointed and angry Olivia who learns that Katia has been a traitor all along. After Katia confessed, she asked the production to speak to Olivia directly, and after the tapings were finished, they sat up until 3.30am and talked it out.

– When I explained and gave context to everything, she understood and said that “you were kind of a faithful traitor”, says Katia.

That’s how Katia and Olivia’s relationship is after Traitors

The relationship is scratched and Katia and Olivia are today good friends.

– We have contact almost every day. We have now hung out in Sweden and talked about her coming to visit me in LA. We’re going out to celebrate tomorrow after the final!

Well that ends well. Katia’s achievement is not only standing as the winner of the program. She is also the first to not receive a single vote throughout the course of the game, something that has never happened before in any of the editions in other countries.

– I have to say what the production said, this is pretty cool. I’m the only one in the world who never got a single vote for me. You shouldn’t underestimate girls, damn it, says Katia.

– My whole plan was to have four girls in the final. That’s why I knocked out Hasse Aro right before that.
