You shouldn’t pick up 3 strong players from the Season Pass yet

In the new Season Pass from EA FC 25 there are strong players that you can secure for Ultimate Team during the season. Some cards will even get upgrades in the next few weeks and months. Therefore, a little patience could pay off.

How do you get the strong players from the Season Pass? The Season Pass is free of charge and can be emptied by you in Ultimate Team, Career Modus and Clubs by receiving seasonal points (SP). Various tasks are available in these modes, which are updated weekly. You will find them in the Season Pass menu when you press L2/LB.

The following players are waiting for you on the different stages:

  • Level 5 (5000 SP): 87 World Tour Samuel Lino (LM, LV, LF)-Atlético Madrid (Brazil)
  • Level 10 (10,000 SP): Choice between 2 dynamic cards from the UEFA Conference League

  • Level 20 (20,000 SP): Choice between 2 dynamic cards from the UEFA Europa League

    • Which 3 strong players shouldn’t you pick up yet? The road-to-the-final players (RTTF) from level 10, 20 and 35 are event cards that can still upgrade depending on the cutting of their teams. Therefore, these strong cards can develop into real top players over time. Once you have reached a level with the RTTF cards mentioned, you are free to pick up these cards.

    Waiting for the first games of European competitions

    Why shouldn’t you pick up some players yet? Before you pick up the players, you should wait and see which RTTF cards get the first upgrades and have the best prospects for further upgrades.

    And this works like this: The round of 16 of the European competitions that influence the rating of the RTTFs start at the beginning of March 2025. After a game, it is emerging which card receives an upgrade and has higher chances of further improvements, because the upgrades are on the following Conditions linked:

  • Victory or draw in the round of 16: +1 overall rating (GES)
  • Moving into the quarter -finals: +1 Ges & 1 player role ++
  • Moving into the semi -finals: +1 Ges & +1 ★ Special movements or weak foot
  • Moving into the final: +1 Playstyle (+2 Playstyle+if the professional only has a playstyle+)
  • Victory in the final: +1 GES or 96 Ges & 5 ★ Special movements or weak foot

    • The first games in the Champions League will take place on Tuesday (March 4, 2025) and in the Europa/Conference League on Thursday (March 6, 2025). The Season Pass runs until March 12, which means you can first see how the club of the RTTF player performs in the first leg of the respective competitions and have your choice for the rewards from the Season Pass.

    With a high victory of the association, the likelihood of progress increases and thus to further upgrades.

    Another important information: For the RTTF cards of the UEFA Champions League, you can even wait for the second legs on March 11, 2025 and secure the players who will surely move into the quarter-finals.

    Unfortunately, this little trick does not work for the RTTF cards of the UEFA Women’s Champions League (Level 25), because the quarterfinals only take place on March 18, 2025. If you still need a recommendation, it could be worthwhile to rely on Damaris Egurrola from Olympique Lyon. The team from France dominated their preliminary round group and is one of the biggest favorites for the title.

    The RTTF event is already the second event that accompanies European competitions.
