The controversies surrounding the World Cup in Qatar have been many and the discussions have been long, and even for Lasse Granqvist there have been doubts. In the podcast “Lundh” which is run by the journalist Olof Lundh Granqvist tells us that he was not completely convinced of actually going down to Qatar.
“You shouldn’t be afraid”

– I definitely thought about it. We have also talked about it on an ongoing basis. But I see a difficulty in being a journalist and using the card in the profession to, in this case, protest against the conditions that are, says Lasse Granqvist in the podcast.

But he is also clear that you should be able to highlight what is also going on outside the field.
– I don’t think you should be afraid to weigh in on the reality that more or less everyone who watches knows. You shouldn’t be afraid of that. At the same time, I don’t see my task during a match as evaluating a goal against the background of the current world situation or the conditions that prevail for the championship in this country, says Granqvist.
