News24 have talked to Catarina Eliasson, who is a licensed veterinarian at Agria, about what to do when your dog has swallowed something inappropriate.
She believes that the first thing you should find out is how dangerous an object the dog has ingested. If it is a very dangerous object, treatment may need to be started immediately.
– In case of the slightest uncertainty, always contact a veterinarian. There is also often good advice online and today there is also the possibility for pet owners to get quick digital advice such as via Agria, says Catarina Eliasson to Nyheter24.
She also believes that it is important to be able to provide information about what the dog has ingested, approximately how much or what size and the dog’s weight.
