You is one of the most entertaining thriller series out there right now – and one of the most controversial. Season 4 has been streaming on Netflix since February 9th. The first 5 episodes turn the formula around stalker/serial killer Joe Goldberg on its head. We’ll find out what’s next on March 9th, when the second part of the series goes online.
In part 1 the main character, played by Penn Badgley, dares not just one New beginning in Europe. Joe also has to watch someone else take over his job: killing (obnoxious) people. This new beginning is courageous, but does it work? Or does that not even make the well-known You criticisms even more obvious? This is one of the things we talk about in the You Season 4 podcast.
Netflix series You completely reinvents itself in season 4 – but is that a good thing?
At this point you will find external content that complements the article. You can show it and hide it again with one click.
Time and time again You has been criticized for romanticizing a serial killer. Season 4 seems to go one step further. After huge twist, which heralds the second part of the season, Joe Goldberg looks almost like Batman – starring London as Gotham and a comical, Joker-esque super villain as opponents. We won’t reveal more at this point.
