Scheduled for January 31, the new campaign to raise children’s awareness of violence will take the form of a mini-series. Entitled “You say, you stop”, it will be made up of thirteen episodes of two minutes each. Objective: to give them the means to act in the face of violence.
The main television channels will broadcast, from January 31, the 13 episodes of a mini-series, which in reality hides a campaign against violence against children. The goal: to raise awareness and give them the keys to act, by having the right reflexes.
Provide solutions to react to violence
In these episodes, four children aged around ten, Quentin, Clara, Oscar and Yasmine discuss the theme of violence, of whatever nature. A video game serves as their support, and allows them to activate “joker” cards, “no” cards and “speech” cards.
This allows you to speak to a trusted adult and obtain a lasting solution to the problematic situation. A way to make children aware of how they can act in these cases.
A child dies every five days from beatings
“You say, you stop“is therefore one of the campaigns resulting from the great Cause”Protect children from all forms of violence”initiated in 2020 by the citizen mobilization platform Make.orgwith different partners.
It is more than ever time to act to protect children, given the figures in France: a child dies every 5 days from beatings, a child suffers sexual assault every 3 minutes and 700,000 young people are harassed every year, according to Make.org.
As a reminder, in the event of a situation of abuse, it is possible to call a number: 119. This is the number for “Allô jeunesse en danger”, a service which also offers an online chat, at www.allo119.gouv.fr
