Even a few weeks after the release, Diablo 4 players are still dealing with Lilith, the game’s major antagonist. She exerts a strange fascination on fans who, because of her charisma, apparently like to overlook how bad the horned lady actually is.

What fans say: The creator of the post claims to see no evil in Lilith. No one in the story has a good point, you just fight her because she’s a demon and that’s bad. But she only wants to prepare Sanctuary for a fight with the Great Evils.
The post gets a lot of headwind in the comments. Some players cynically state that being attacked by Lilith’s custom “created” cannibals in the first few minutes wasn’t the best start. The comment from user ZZGooch with over 7,500 upvotes lists the “details” that one might “overlook” in a little more detail:

According to ZZGooch, it helps not only to stare at Lilitsh’s boobs during the cutscenes, but to actually listen to her when she says something. It would come out quite clearly that she wasn’t exactly the ideal leader for mankind.

“The only good thing comes from people”
Lilith’s actual plan is also taken up in the discussion, which we are not yet revealing here for spoiler reasons. Although she officially wants to prepare Sanctuary for war, she has some rather strange methods.
Lilith’s idea, or at least that of her followers, is to “root out the weak.” Therefore, those who don’t believe in her must also die. In a world where there are almost no people anyway, that’s probably not a good idea.
Even all the dangers that Sanctuary is supposedly exposed to come only from Lilith herself. Nothing of this has really been confirmed. She can just lie and use people for her true goals.
Other players object that the angel Inarius is no better either. He only takes care of his children when it suits him and does not shy away from murder and genocide against them.
Therefore, user yogi-in-the-forest reflects: “I think the story is that reality itself is evil and that there is no good in angels or demons. The only good comes from people.”
In some places, the discussion even deviates to the point of criticizing the Horadrim and praising one of the fanatics from earlier parts. One should have simply followed Zoltun Kul’s plan and led the humans to their ancient power. If you need a refresher here, the synopsis of the story is here:
