Once again, a Swedish authority has been forced to go out with a fraud warning to the public. Now it is the Swedish Tax Agency that warns of scam messages that are spread in declaration times.

Declaration 2025: The Swedish Tax Agency does not send information via SMS
In a post on the authority’s own Facebook page, it is reported that fraudsters pretend to be them in mail in the form of sms and e-mails. In fact, message is a scam and at the same time you urge the public not to click on any links or attachments.
“Fraudsters pretend to be the Swedish Tax Agency. If you receive e -mails and sms that you suspect are fake, but appear to come from the Swedish Tax Agency, we recommend that you delete it without clicking on any links or attachments, ”the Swedish Tax Agency writes in a Facebook posts and then emphasizes:
“We never send information about your declaration via SMS. We also never ask for your account details anywhere other than in our e-services where you log in with e-identification ”.
