“You just gape, I’m speechless”

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

Henrik Zetterberg could really do everything.
His career contained some incredible goals – but the question is whether or not this was his most skilled.

Henrik Zetterberg is one of the best finds in NHL history. When the Detroit Red Wings selected him in the seventh round – as the 210th player in total – few could predict what an incredible career he would have, and how important he would become.

Senseless career

Zetterberg grew up and immediately became a key player in Detroit, and it was not long before he belonged to the absolute top tier in the world. In total, there were more than 1,000 matches in the world’s best hockey league, and he was not far from averaging one point per match.

Zetterberg was also captain for many years, and even today Zäta is one of the most appreciated players in the club’s history. And it wasn’t just the titles he won or the points he scored. Zäta was a real lyre player who could make just about anything happen, at any time.

Incredible goal

And the clearest example of that came perhaps during a match against Colorado, 2008. Zetterberg and Swedish teammate Tomas Holmström were in front of goal, and Zäta came in towards goal at real speed. On the way to the goal, he got hooked and fell on the ice.

But on the way down to the ground, Zäta spun around, and got the club on the puck that went into goal. The hockey world was amazed by the goal, and so did the commentators during the match:

– When you see this guy play, the stuff he does makes you just gape. I’m speechless.
