How do I find the procedure for unsubscribing from a site or an online service?
Signed up for a website or web service you no longer use? Here’s how to find the page or the dedicated form to unsubscribe and delete your details… if possible. For the example, we will use the Just Delete Me service. Just Delete Account works the same way.
► Go to the website Just Delete Me. The home page looks like a long list of web services arranged in alphabetical order. Each is flanked by a color that represents the complexity of the unsubscribe process. Green: easy; yellow: medium; red: difficult; black: impossible (yes, some web services do not allow you to unsubscribe such as Worpress.org or Wikipedia for example).
► No need to scroll through this list with the force of the mouse wheel to find the site or Web service you are looking for. Just type their name in the search field above the listing. Results are displayed as you type.
► Once the service has been found, click on the link See info. A description of the procedure is given. It can be written in French or in English, depending on the site concerned.
► Now click on link icon to the right of the service name. You are then immediately redirected to the page dedicated to unsubscribing (the Dashlane password manager service, in our example). All you have to do is follow the procedure.
