“You don’t feel good about it”

Frida Karlsson was called “crazy” by the radio profiler Titti Schultz.
But Hanna Öberg is on Frida Karlsson’s side.

– Then you don’t feel well, says the biathlon star.

Earlier in the spring, Frida Karlsson was a guest on the big radio program P4 Extra, where the popular profile Titti Schultz is the host. During a conversation, Schultz was really shocked by a choice that Frida Karlsson makes after the season ends: namely to ski more.

Support for Frida

Frida Karlsson told that she had gone for a seven-mile round during Easter, which caused Schultz to call Karlsson “crazy”, and to ask questions about why Karlsson doesn’t take time off. But the fact is that Frida Karlsson is not alone. Even though the season is over, where countless miles have been completed in various tracks, the skiing stars cannot tear themselves away from the snow.

Elvira Öberg shares the picture, and believes that there will be lots of skiing, even though the season is over.

– You ski because it’s what you enjoy. That is why we are doing this. Then it’s in quite different forms, it’s more about what you feel and the pace you want instead of having a clear plan, she tells Expressen.

“Doesn’t feel good about it”

Elvira Öberg’s sister, Hanna Öberg, agrees, and thus does not agree at all with Schultz’s description of Karlsson as “crazy”.

– There will be a lot of skiing. It’s hard to stay away from it when the weather is so nice and the conditions are so nice. I think we have had very good weeks with nice weather and I enjoy the mountain environment. After all, it’s more about what you’re in the mood for and it’s pretty undemanding. There have also been at least as many hours in the sun as on skis, I would say. It’s a good balance, she says.

Furthermore, Hanna Öberg has actually given it a try; holidays without skiing. But it hasn’t gone well.

– I’ve had a few years where I’ve basically done nothing during my leave. You realize that you don’t feel better from it either. The body is used to moving. And it really will be in a pleasurable way to do it during the holiday.
