Athletes often receive feedback about other things than sports. During the summer, Ylen Vääri sports! – video series, Finnish top athletes have told what kind of feedback they receive.
High jump star Ella Junnila, 23, says that the feedback doesn’t always apply to him. In the story series, Junnila recalls the first rude feedback she received.

“Get that boy friend out of coaching, and then you can do it. That’s my level and you won’t rise from it,” was the feedback.
Junnila tells how feedback directed at a close person feels.
– I tolerate well that my sportsmanship is criticized. It’s my profession and it can be criticized, Junnila begins.
– It feels really bad to go to people close to me. It makes me feel really powerless that my loved ones are being touched. They must not be touched, says Junnila.
Junnila is also participating in this year’s European Championships in Munich. He will start his work in the height qualification on Friday at 11:05.
