Dr. Stating that hemorrhoids is not a disease but the name of an anatomical formation, Sücüllü said, “Hemorrhoids are vascular structures located in the region called the anus, which is the last part of our digestive system. It has important duties such as keeping the stool and gas in full closure of the anus. In some cases, they can become a hemorrhoidal disease with symptoms such as bleeding and sagging.” he said.
INSUFFICIENT WATER CONSUMPTION AND NUTRITION TRIGGER
Noting that hemorrhoids are divided into internal and external, Prof. Dr. Sücüllü said, “Internal hemorrhoids are located just inside the anus and are not seen in the absence of disease. External hemorrhoids, on the other hand, are located under the skin called the anoderm just outside the anus. Nutrition and toilet habits are of great importance in this regard. Insufficient fiber and water consumption causes constipation and hemorrhoidal disease in constipation. The risk of hemorrhoidal disease increases in cases such as spending a long time in the toilet, straining and holding (postponing). In addition, it is frequently seen in those who work by sitting constantly, and those who do heavy exercises.

During this examination, tube-shaped anoscope devices with a light at the end are also used to evaluate the inner part of the anal canal.
